Sunburst Farms History

In 1968, Tom Keeler, and MIT Fellow, California businessman Harmon Brown and agronomist David Shever reviewed a University of California Study identifying the Savannah of Bogota in Colombia as the optimum growing environment for carnations.

Many years later, these forward thinking individuals sold their farm and ideas to the group which became Sunburst Farms.

This is how Sunburst was born, the product of individuals who challenged the current distribution and business framework and used their vision to create greatness.  The Sunburst Farms brand is recognized throughout the floral industry for freshness, quality, and service. Sunburst Farms sells more than 48 types of flowers grown in over 700 hectares at farms located in Colombia, Ecuador,
Costa Rica, Africa, Italy, Australia, Chile, and Holland.
